Died: 1844, Long Sault Is.

 

William was in the Revolutionary War; however, he fought under General Burgoyne on the side of the British, immigrating about 1776.  He participated in the Battle of Fort Ticonderoga and after Burgoyne surrendered the troops returned to their base on Ile Aux Noir, an island in the Richelieu River.
